PS Susan Mochache with officials from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Africa Academy of Sciences when they met to discuss establishment of Grand Challenge Kenya

 

Nairobi, KENYA May 29, 2019 – Health Principal Secretary (PS) Susan Mochache today met representatives from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Africa Academy of Sciences to discuss establishment of Grand Challenge Kenya, a mechanism that will foster health innovations in the country.

The PS welcomed the plans saying innovations offer cost effective solutions to problems. “Attainment of Universal Health Coverage calls for rethinking of strategies, “she said.

Grand Challenges in Global Health is an initiative founded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to foster innovations to solve key global health and development problems.
