Minister for Medical Services

Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o is a Member of Parliament for Kisumu Rural in the Kenyan National Assembly and Director of the African Research and Resource Forum. He also is a former Minister for Planning and National Development. During his tenure, the government released a Development Strategy, the Economic Recovery Strategy (ERS) for Wealth and Employment Creation 2003-2007, which included specific targets for Government policy and led to rapid economic growth from 2%-6% GDP growth per annum between 2003 and 2007. Prof. Nyong’o is currently the Minister for Medical Services.
