CS Health meets Danish Minister for bilateral talks

 Nairobi, KENYA, 5th March 2018 – Health Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki today held bilateral talks with Danish Minister for International Development Corporation, Ms. Ulla Tørnæs at her Afya House office.

The two leaders discussed ongoing bilateral corporation between the Government of Kenya and Danish Government in particular the implementation of the “Universal Health Care (UHC).

Currently, the Danish Government is supporting the UHC devolved system programme, which is being implemented in all the 47 counties. The programme aims to improve access to quality primary healthcare and Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health Services, (RMNCAH).

Ms. Tørnæs was accompanied by Mr. Ulrik Vestergaad, Permanent Secretary MFA Denmark, Ambassador Mette Knudsen, Embassy of Denmark, Nairobi and Ms. Lotte Machon, the Head of Department, Development Policy and Financing, MFA Denmark.
