Exploring strategies to promote the Health Agenda through County Assemblies Legislation.

Health Principal Secretary (PS) Susan Mochache has said that Members of County Assemblies are critical in health legislation and that they should be properly sensitized on the health agenda for them to push for improvement of Primary Healthcare to ensure access to health services by citizens at the grassroots level.

Speaking when she met representatives from County Assemblies Forum (CAF) led by Chief Executive Officer Mrs Judy Wangalwa, the PS noted with proper sensitization, county assemblies can ensure that health is given priority by counties in their budgeting and in passing health bills.

The meeting also discuss the 5th County Legislative Assembly Summit where health will be a key agenda. The Ministry of Health will collaborate with CAF in the preparation of the Summit.
