Health Administrative Secretary Rashid urges kenyans to plant trees. Nairobi (KENYA),November 15,2018.













The Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS), in the Ministry of Health Dr. Rashid Aman is calling on Kenyans to plant trees to enable the country to achieve the 10 per cent tree cover.

Speaking during the staff tree planting exercise at Kenya Medical Research Institute,Dr. Rashid urged Kenyans to make tree planting exercise not  just an event but a daily routine for the country to achieve its environmental goal.

“We all have a responsibility to conserve our environment for ourselves and for the generation to come. I therefore urge all Kenyans to fully support the tree planting initiative”, he said.

He commended the Institution for having planted over 4,000 medicinal trees in all its institutions across the country and urged them to hit their target in this season.

“I am happy to join you  today during this national event of tree planting for the ministry of Health here at KEMRI Headquarters. I am aware that more than 3000 trees will be planted today in various  kemri grounds in the country”, he added.
