NAIROBI 16 Feb 2016, Cabinet Secretary for Health, Dr. Cleopa Mailu has emphasized the need for team spirit within the Ministry and its parastatals in order to overcome challenges the Ministry was going through.
He cautioned Ministry’s parastatal heads to spend their budgets prudently and in adherence of the laid down Financial Regulations. He asked them not to initiate new projects before completing the old ones, and advised that “you must ensure that old projects are completed and all pending bills cleared before you can engage in new programmes.
Dr. Mailu was addressing the parastatal heads at Afya House on 16 February, 2017 during the signing of performance. Dr. Mailu, who was accompanied by the PS. Dr. Nicholas Muraguri, called on the parastatals heads to adhere to proper procedures when procuring for services to avoid audit queries.
