Increasing access to eye care in Kenya, CS Health lauds Fred Hollows Foundation 

NAIROBI, Kenya 4 October 2017 – The Cabinet for Health, Dr. Cleopa Mailu today thanked Fred Hollows Foundation for assisting the government to mitigate eye related ailments in the country.
“Since the Foundation started its work in the country many deserving cases have benefited from the program,” said Dr. Mailu after meeting the officials of the Foundation in his office today.
The CS highlighted the need to build human capacity to deal with neglected diseases especially those related to complications of the eye and oral health.
He urged the project owners to work closely with devolved governments across the country in order to curb such diseases.
