Government Pushes for Efficient, Citizen-Centred Regulation at Kitui Conference

Kitui  9 2026  marked the final day of the 3rd Annual Regulatory Authorities and Agencies Conference in Kitui County, convened by the Head of Public Service, Mr. Felix Koskei.

The conference provided an important platform for engagements on strengthening regulation, accountability, institutional coordination, and citizen-centred service delivery across Government.

Discussions emphasized the need for institutions to move beyond compliance and focus on delivering measurable impact that wananchi can feel through efficient, fair, transparent, and responsive public services.

Key areas highlighted included stronger inter-agency collaboration, data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, proactive regulation, and building public trust through accountability and improved service delivery.
