CS Health Hon. Aden Duale Represents President Ruto at Club de Madrid Policy Dialogue
Nairobi, Kenya - - Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale represented His Excellency President Dr. William Ruto at the opening session of the Club de Madrid’s Annual Policy Dialogue 2025 at the United Nations Headquarters in Nairobi.
The two-day conference, themed “Driving Sustainable Futures for All,” brings together global leaders to discuss Financing for Sustainable Development.
In his keynote address, Hon. Duale emphasized Kenya’s recognition of the need for strong, inclusive, and forward-thinking financial strategies on the global stage to drive sustainable development. He also called for the development and implementation of a comprehensive debt relief and prevention framework, which would release the necessary resources to support sustainable development, reinforcing Kenya’s commitment to this cause across the continent.
H.E. Danilo Turk, former President of Slovenia and President of the Club de Madrid, praised Kenya’s leadership and partnership in co-hosting the conference. He underscored the need for renewed financial strategies that accelerate finance mobilization, ensuring inclusivity and sustainable development.
The conference is being attended by several dignitaries, including Zainab Bangura (UN Director General, Nairobi), Dr. Korir Sing’oei (Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs), Ali Mohammed (Special Climate Change Envoy), and H.E. Danilo Turk.
