Kenya Health Forum kicks off in Nairobi

Nairobi, KENYA March 26, 2018 – The Kenya Health Forum 2018 kicked off today in Nairobi County. The forum which is an annual event that brings together stakeholders from the health partner constituencies to take stock of progress made and discuss issues in addressing the health sector agenda and the way forward for the sector was opened by the Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Health Sicily Kariuki.
The CS said the Government will continue to focus on improving the scope and quality of health services available to the population while reducing financial risk associated with use of essential services.
During the forum the CS launched key documents and tools that have been developed to aide the health sector in delivering its mandate. Among the documents launched  was the Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) score card that will be instrumental in helping the sector to keep track  progress on performance of health services provided for mothers and children.
The three day forum theme is  “Accelerating progress towards realization of Universal Health Coverage in Kenya.”
