Let’s work together to drive health programs PS Health urges partners

Nairobi, KENYA  April 29, 2019 – The Ministry of Health will work closely with the Council of Governors and partners to ensure successful implementation of health programmes, Principal Secretary for Health, Susan Mochache said on Friday when she met the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) officials for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) led by Deputy Head of Mission, Henrik Larsen.

The two leaders discussed the DANIDA UHC Program which aims at improving access to quality Primary Health Care by supporting operations and maintenance of level 2 and 3 hospitals and Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), services.

The PS emphasized that Primary Health Care is a key driver to the Universal Health Coverage goal and discussed with DANIDA ways of improving Monitoring and Evaluation of health programmes in order to improve health indicators in the country.
