Naivasha, , 2023 – The 9th National and County Governments Coordinating Summit, chaired by His Excellency William Ruto, continued its progress with discussions focused on the implementation of Universal Health Coverage for all citizens of Kenya Kwanza.
The summit brought together the Deputy President H.E Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretary for Health, Dr. Nakhumicha S. Wafula, Council of Governors, and other senior government officials to highlight the importance of a positive working relationship between the national and county governments, as well as health stakeholders.
His Excellency William Ruto emphasized the need for all levels of government to work together to achieve the common goal of providing quality health care to all citizens.
Dr Nakhumicha said “The implementation of Universal Health Coverage is a key step in transforming the lives of the citizens and improving their well-being. Let’s work together for a better, healthier Kenya.”
