PS health hosts forum to promote public private partnership for health

NAIROBI, Kenya, 18 April 2017 In recognition of the role of Public private partnerships (PPPs) in improving healthcare the Principal Secretary for Health, Mr. Julius Korir, on Tuesday met with members of the Kenya Health Federation led by Dr. Amit Thakar.  
 
The Ministerial Stakeholders Forum is a platform for consultations between the Ministry and non-state actors in the Health Sector, who provide 48 percent of all health service
 
The stakeholders discussed the modalities of increasing access and affordability of healthcare and mechanisms to create an enabling environment for non-state actors who complement government efforts in delivering health services. The proceedings of this forum further constitute health agenda for the Presidential Round Table.
 
PPPs can bring greater efficiency and sustainability to the provision of public services such as water, sanitation, healthcare, education, transport and telecommunications among others.
