The CAS said the Ministry of Health will be focusing on primary health care as it rolls out the Universal Health Care.
“ About 80 to 90 percent of our community needs can be addressed through primary health care,” she noted and added that the ministry has put in place polices and guidelines that aim to enshrine primary health care into the universal health care agenda.
Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr Mercy Mwangangi attended the Federation of African Medical Student’s Association (FAMSA) that was held at Kenyatta University Business & Students’ Centre in February 27, where she emphasized the importance of primary health care as pivotal to delivering Health for all.
