Today, Principal Secretary of State Department of Public Health and Professional Standards, at the Ministry of Health Dr. Josephine Mburu opened a forum to address the near stagnation in malaria control progress highlighted in the World Malaria report 2022.
Representatives from 18 countries have gathered in Nairobi for a peer review to improve their malaria funding proposals to the Global Fund. This will ensure commodity security, enhance prevention efforts, and strengthen health systems towards malaria elimination.
Dr. Mburu called on countries to work together, share information, and forge common goals on malaria control and elimination for a sustained impact.
