Nairobi, KENYA June 18, 2019 – Today the Principal Secretary for Health, Susan Mochache met with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (Gavi), incoming Senior Country Manager, Rachel Belt.
The two discussed areas of collaboration and support, including the planned introduction of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), vaccine scheduled for July 2019, among other vaccines.
Gavi has also promised to support Health System Strengthening (HSS), and overall leadership and Management coordination for Universal Health Coverage(UHC).
Gavi has been supporting the country in the areas of vaccines and vaccine related supplies, cash and cold chain equipment to help strengthen the capacity of national health systems in order to deliver immunization and other health related services in a sustainable way.
