Principal Secretary Ms Susan Mochache launched the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign at the Kenyatta National Hospital. During the event the Ministry’s Director General Dr Patrick Amoth led the health workers in receiving the first Covid-19 jab. He was followed by the KNH Chief Executive Officer Dr Evans Kamuri and Head of Immunization program in country Dr Collins Tabu. Also among the first health workers to receive the jab was Jemimah Katana, an assistant nurse at the hospital. It is expected by the end of the day about 100 health workers would have been vaccinated. Present at the function was the WHO country Representative Dr Ruddi Eggers, Unicef Country Representative Ms Maniza Zaman among others.
