TRANSFORMING HEALTH SYSTEMS FOR UNIVERSAL CARE – SOCIAL ASSESSMENT REPORT
The project Transforming Health Systems for Universal Care project is a World Bank supported project that has the Project Management Team at the Ministry of Health Headquarters (Afya house) and Council of Governors. The project jointly with the Bank through a consultant have done a Social Assessment covering a number of Minority Groups in Kenya.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT AT MARSABIT COUNTY HOSPITAL.
The environmental and social impact assessment report for the proposed Biosafety Level 2 Laboratory (BSL2) and incinerator facility project at Marsabit County Referral Hospital located in Marsabit town, Marsabit County.
Marsabit County Referral Hospital is a Public hospital owned by the Government of Kenya and it stands on public land. Therefore, the land where the proposed project will be undertaken is public land owned by the Government of Kenya. Consequently, there are no issues on acquisition on this project.
Proponent: Ministry of Health-Kenya.

ESIA Marsabit 04OCT2018-FINAL REPORT
ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT AT MOI TEACHING AND REFERRAL HOSPITAL
The proposed Biosafety Level 2 Laboratory (BSL2), isolation unit, & an incinerator project at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital located along Nandi road, Eldoret town in Uasin Gishu County.
The Project proponent is the Ministry of Health who intends to put up a Biosafety Level 2 Public Laboratory, Isolation Unit and an incinerator facility at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).
The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital is a public 2 hospital owned by the Government of Kenya and it stands on public land. The selected construction site for the
proposed project is within the existing fenced MTRH. Therefore, the land where the proposed project will be undertaken is public land owned by the Government of Kenya. There are no illegal or other occupants likely to be affected by the proposed project. Consequently, there are no issues on land acquisition (physical nor economic).
