Bringing Healthcare Closer to Those Who Serve

Kirinyaga  February, 21,2025 Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, graced a medical camp at ACK St. Paul’s Church in Kutus, dedicated to providing essential healthcare services to clergy members and their families. The initiative aimed to ensure that spiritual leaders and their loved ones receive the medical attention they deserve, reinforcing the government's commitment to Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

The medical camp offered a range of services, including general health screenings, eye check-ups, nutritional counseling, and free medication. These services not only addressed immediate health concerns but also underscored the importance of preventive care and routine check-ups in fostering a healthier community.

Speaking at the event, PS Mary Muthoni emphasized the role of healthcare in supporting those who serve the nation spiritually. "Our clergy play a crucial role in guiding and uplifting communities. Their well-being is equally important, and through such initiatives, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring access to quality healthcare for all," she stated.

The success of the camp was made possible through the dedication of healthcare professionals, organizers, and partners who worked tirelessly to deliver services to the clergy and their families. Their efforts continue to drive the realization of UHC, ensuring that healthcare remains accessible to all segments of society.
