Enhancing Governance and Strengthening Pharmaceutical Regulation

Nairobi ,2025 The Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni,  held a productive meeting with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) team to discuss governance and regulatory advancements in Kenya’s pharmaceutical sector. A key focus was the country’s progress towards achieving Maturity Level 3 (ML3), a significant milestone in strengthening pharmaceutical regulation.

The discussions highlighted the need to enhance regulatory frameworks, improve service efficiency, and ensure equitable access to quality medicines for all Kenyans. The Principal Secretary reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working with stakeholders to uphold the highest standards in public health and pharmaceutical governance.
