Government Reaffirms commitment to Universal Health Coverage

๐๐š๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐›๐ข, ๐Š๐ž๐ง๐ฒ๐š - ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ย Universal Health Coverage (UHC) remains a priority for the National Government, with President William Ruto committed to achieving this goal for all Kenyans. In line with this vision,ย 

Hon. Moses Kuria, Senior Advisor from the Council of Economic Advisors at State House, convened a meeting with Ministry of Health leaders, including Health CS Dr. Deborah Barasa, Medical Services PS Harry Kimtai, and SHA leadership, along with Mary Mwiti, CEO of the Council of Governors.ย 

The meeting focused on the rollout of the UHC Programme, identifying key areas needed for a successful launch. A major strategy discussed was conducting a comprehensive pilot in a selected county within the next 14 days to ensure readiness for wider implementation.
