Health Cabinet Secretary Urges Kenyans to Join Universal Health Coverage Launch at Mashujaa Day

𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐒𝐜𝐑𝐨, πŸπŸ•π­π‘ πŽπœπ­π¨π›πžπ« πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ‘ - The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Nakhumicha S. Wafula, has extended a heartfelt invitation to Kenyans to participate in the launch of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) during the upcoming Mashujaa Day celebrations.Β 

The 14th edition of the event will take place at Kericho Green StadiumΒ . Expressing her enthusiasm for the event, CS Nakhumicha commended the National Celebrations Steering Committee for the thorough preparations at Kericho Green Stadium.

She emphasized the importance of mass attendance on this momentous day, highlighting the significant impact the UHC program will have on the nation's healthcare landscape. In anticipation of the UHC launch, CS Nakhumicha, alongside her Ministry of Health team, has been actively involved in the week-long pre-launch health exhibition conference at Kapkatet Stadium in Kericho.Β 

This thematic week has allowed stakeholders to assess healthcare sector milestones and explore potential interventions and innovations to support the successful execution of the Universal Health Coverage program.

During the Mashujaa Day mock function, Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary, Raymond Omollo, confirmed that all systems are set for the Kericho program.Β 

The launch of Universal Health Coverage marks a monumental achievement on the journey toward delivering quality and affordable healthcare to all Kenyans, eliminating financial barriers to access health services. With the support of the entire nation, this historic event promises a brighter and healthier future for the country.
