Health Ministry Hosts Chinese Delegation to Strengthen Maternal and newborn Health
Nairobi, Kenya - - The Ministry of Health Director General, Dr. Patrick Amoth, hosted a delegation from the National Health Commission of China, led by Director General Ms. Shen Haiping, alongside UNFPA Kenya Representative Mr. Anders Thomsen. The meeting focused on fostering partnerships aimed at accelerating maternal and newborn health outcomes in Kenya. Key discussions centered on strengthening health systems and leveraging innovations, such as Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), to improve access to quality care at the primary health level.
