Kenya Advances Digital Health: Progress Highlighted at Africa eHealth Leaders Forum

๐๐š๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐›๐ข, ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ - Principal Secretary for the State Department for Medical Services, Mr. Harry Kimtai, announced that health digitization in Kenya is on track during the opening of the Africa eHealth Leaders Forum, a key event dedicated to advancing digital health across Africa.ย 

The forum showcased a shared commitment to leadership and governance, focusing on foundational pillars crucial for advancing digital health across the continent.ย 

Mr. Kimtai emphasized the government's achievements and commitment to digital health transformation through the Digital Health Act 2023, which established the Digital Health Agency and the Kenya Digital Health Superhighway.ย 

These initiatives are harnessing technology to accelerate Kenyaโ€™s journey toward universal health coverage. Notably, Kenya has made significant progress in developing its digital health superhighway, with key components now 70% complete.
