Nairobi , 2024 The Ministry of Health and the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists’ Union (KMPDU), have  signed an addendum  to the Return to Work Formula Agreement of . This will facilitate the immediate posting of 1,210 intern doctors by , 2024. 

This agreement, part of ongoing negotiations, addresses the conditions and remuneration of the interns, with final decisions pending from the Eldoret Employment and Labour Relations Court. 

The Ministry acknowledges the support of KMPDU and reaffirms its commitment to improving healthcare conditions in Kenya.
