Government Prioritizes Health Security and Emergency Preparedness with NPHI Focus

ππšπ’π«π¨π›π’, 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 - 𝟐𝐧𝐝 π’πžπ©π­πžπ¦π›πžπ« πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ’ - Health security and public health emergency preparedness remain a top priority for the government, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.Β 

The National Public Health Institute (NPHI), established in 2022, plays a central role in these efforts.Β , Health Cabinet Secretary Dr. Deborah M. Barasa met with the NPHI board to review the milestones achieved toward the institute’s full functionality and to discuss future n priorities.Β 

Dr. Barasa reiterated the Ministry of Health’s commitment to fully operationalizing the NPHI, ensuring it is equipped to handle current and future public health emergencies, including the ongoing Mpox threat.
