Medical Camp: Valentine Edition – Spreading Love Through Health
Nairobi , 2025 The State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, led by Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni, conducted a Valentine Edition medical camp focused on Maternal Health & Nutrition, Nutritional Screening & Assessment, Breastfeeding Support & Education, and Diabetes Risk Assessment & Management.
In addition, the camp included community sensitization on drug and substance abuse prevention and management, reinforcing the importance of healthy living and making informed health choices.
Speaking during the camp, PS Mary Muthoni emphasized the government’s commitment to Primary Healthcare and Preventive Healthcare, ensuring early detection, education, and timely intervention for better health outcomes.
"Prevention is the foundation of a strong healthcare system. By bringing essential services closer to the people, we empower families to take charge of their health and contribute to a healthier nation," she said.
