The operation, which targeted unlicensed establishments flouting the national shisha ban, is part of ongoing efforts to enforce public health regulations and protect citizens from harmful substances.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to intensifying surveillance and enforcement of the shisha ban in all counties. It also called on members of the public to report outlets engaging in illegal trade of shisha and support ongoing health promotion initiatives.
“Protecting the health and well-being of our population remains our top priority. We will not relent in ensuring full compliance with public health laws,” a Ministry spokesperson stated.
The Ministry plans to continue working closely with county governments, law enforcement agencies, and the general public to curb the resurgence of illegal shisha use and promote healthier lifestyle choices.
