Kenya Gears Up for National Measles-Rubella and TCV Campaign Targeting 3.9 Million Children
Machakos, Kenya - ; The State Department for Medical Services, through the National Vaccines and Immunization Program (NVIP), is committed to ensuring that all eligible populations receive safe and quality vaccines.
This week, the NVIP Communication Technical Working Group, in collaboration with partners, held a workshop to validate Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials pretested in 15 counties. This is part of the ongoing preparations for the national Measles-Rubella and Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) campaign scheduled for June.
The 10-day campaign will target approximately 3.9 million children aged 9 months to 15 years across all 47 counties, after which both vaccines will be incorporated into Kenya’s routine immunization schedule.
