PS Mary Muthoni Leads Jamii Imara Mashinani Forum in Isiolo, Strengthening Citizen Engagement and Cross-Sector Service Delivery

Isiolo ,2026 Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, joined  Government officials, religious leaders, and private sector partners  for the Jamii Imara Mashinani citizen engagement forum in Isiolo County.

The forum provided residents with updates on ongoing and planned development projects while offering a platform to share feedback on improving Government service delivery. Key discussions centered on the Social Health Authority framework, particularly registration, contributions, and access to healthcare services. Youth employment opportunities were also highlighted, with guidance from the National Employment Authority and the National Industrial Training Authority on job placement and skills development pathways.

Residents raised concerns on land, water access, environmental services, and strengthening health facilities — including the steady supply of essential medicines through the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority. Other agencies present included the Kenya Film Classification Board, the Kenya Veterinary Board, the Kenya Industrial Estates, and representatives from the Water Sector Trust Fund.

Government leaders from Isiolo County who participated included NITA Chairperson Mr. Aden Noor and Ms. Josephine from the Water Sector Trust Fund, among others.

The engagement reaffirmed the Government’s Whole-of-Government approach to bringing services closer to wananchi and strengthening cross-sector collaboration to enhance service delivery at the grassroots.
