Port Health Division Conducts a Week Long Medical Camp at JKIA

Monday November 27, 2023 The Division of Port Health and Kenya Airports Authority @KenyaAirports have joined forces to host a week-long medical camp at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport .

Speaking at JKIA when she officially launched the event, Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni stated that the move aims to proactively address health concerns, emphasizing early detection and prevention in line with the Primary Health Care initiative.

"Medical camps are a beacon for enhancing treatment outcomes and alleviating the strain on the healthcare system. By providing free consultations and a range of health checks, the camp promotes a holistic approach to well-being, from blood pressure to cancer screenings, it covers a spectrum of services that empower individuals to take charge of their health." She said

The PS noted that the camp serves as a dynamic platform for health education and awareness besides providing an opportunity to instill hygienic practices and advocate for healthy lifestyle choices.

"We urge the airport community to partake in the event, gain insights into their well-being, and contribute to the collective resilience against health challenges." she said.
