Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Mr. Harry Kimtai, onย Friday January 17, 2024 engaged in a productive discussion with CEOs and directors from the Kenya Biovax Institute Ltd, Pharmacy and Poisons Board, National Quality Control Laboratories, and the National Public Health Institute on the implementation of the World Bank-funded Health Emergencies Preparedness, Response, and Resilience Project.ย 

The meeting focused on identifying challenges in the projectโ€™s execution, addressing regulatory frameworks, infrastructure, capacity building, and resource mobilization.ย  Together, they developed actionable proposals aimed at fast-tracking the projectโ€™s implementation, with the ultimate goal of ensuring Kenya produces its first-ever vaccine byย December 2026.
