PS Muthoni Champions Quality of Care Bill to Boost Accountability in Healthcare
Mombasa ,,2025 The Quality of Care and Patient Safety Bill stands out as a key legal framework aimed at enhancing accountability and improving standards in health service delivery. Championed by the Ministry of Health.
Speaking in Mombasa during the Executive Convention led by the Head of Public Service Mr Felix Kosgei, Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni noted that the Bill reflects the government's commitment to ensuring that all Kenyans receive safe, dignified, and high-quality care.
This priority is part of the broader agenda being advanced at the ongoing Executive Convention in Mombasa.
Discussions are focused on expanding access to quality services, particularly in underserved areas, improving responsiveness to citizen needs and feedback, and enhancing the impact, sustainability, and transparency of government programs.
The convention brings together Principal Secretaries, heads of parastatals, and regulatory agencies to address critical issues in public service.
Good communication is the bridge between confusion and clarity.
