During a media briefing onย Wednesdayย 29th December, the Director General for Health, Dr. Patrick Amoth, attributed this increase to the Rapid Results Initiative (RRI), which has engaged schools, community health promoters, and local leaders to drive enrollment efforts.ย

โ€œMombasaโ€™s progress demonstrates that community-driven strategies are key in expanding SHA registration. We encourage other counties to adopt similar approaches to ensure more Kenyans access healthcare services,โ€ said Dr. Amoth.ย

With 43.5% of its population now registered, Mombasa continues to set an example as efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) progress nationwide.
