State Department Team UP with KRA to Boost Public Health

Nairobi  The State Department of Public Health and Professional Standards (SDPHPS) and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) have teamed up to improve public health in Kenya. Key initiatives  under the partnership include:

- Streamlining the collection of solatium compensatory funds.

- Simplifying clearance procedures for tobacco products.

- Designating special ports for novel nicotine and emerging tobacco products.

- Establishing uniform clearance procedures.

- Scaling up compliance measures.

- Enhancing product testing.

This partnership aims to ensure efficient resource allocation and strengthen regulatory processes, marking a significant step towards better public health outcomes for all Kenyans.
