Strategic partnerships to strengthen health security and nutrition

Nairobi , 2025 The Government of Kenya remains committed to strengthening global health security, nutrition, and capacity building through strategic partnerships. Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni  met with French Ambassador H.E Arnaud  Suquet and the Chairperson of the Development Partners for Health in Kenya(DPHK) Dr. Serawit Bruck -Landais to discuss Kenya’s engagement in the Pandemic Treaty negotiations, collaboration in pandemic preparedness, and participation in the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit 2025 in Paris.

Kenya will showcase key nutrition initiatives, including school feeding programs and food security efforts. The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the French Embassy, will also host a Pre-Summit Round Table at Alliance Française on .

Additionally, Kenya explored potential partnerships with the WHO Academy in Lyon to enhance health education, medical training, and capacity building in collaboration with institutions like Amref University.

These engagements reaffirm Kenya’s commitment to global health resilience, nutrition, and workforce development.
