Strengthening Digital Learning for a Skilled Health Workforce

- Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga hosted Prof. Dr. Lutz Mükke, Director of Institutional Partnerships Africa at Lecturio, for a courtesy call at Afya House to explore opportunities for collaboration in strengthening the capacity of Kenya’s healthcare workforce.
The discussions focused on expanding continuous professional development for health workers, promoting inclusive knowledge management across all health workforce cadres, and leveraging digital learning and simulation-based training to strengthen clinical competencies and improve the quality of patient care.
Dr. Oluga reaffirmed the Ministry of Health’s commitment to building a skilled, competent and future-ready health workforce through strategic partnerships that harness digital innovation to enhance healthcare service delivery and accelerate the achievement of Universal Health Coverage.
The engagement underscored the shared commitment between the Ministry of Health and Lecturio to advance digital health education, strengthen the health workforce, and improve health outcomes for all Kenyans.
