Nairobi , 2024 Principal Secretary Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni has called on medical training  institutions to  tailor  their curricular in consideration local and global health needs. 

She emphasized that this approach will ensure a well-prepared and versatile health workforce capable of addressing health challenges both within and beyond Kenya's borders. 

Speaking during the  5th graduation ceremony for Amref International University,PS Muthoni noted that Kenya is striving to train its Human Resources for Health (HRH) towards the World Health Organization's recommended healthcare professionals to population ratio. 

"The Ministry of Health appreciates the complimentary efforts by organizations such as Amref International University in training health workers." said the PS.
