World AIDS Day 2025: CS Health Calls on Kenyans to Join the Fight Against HIV/AIDS
Nairobi, Kenya - 26 November 2025 - The Ministry of Health marks World AIDS Day 2025 with a renewed commitment to #EndingAIDS2030. On Saturday 30th November 2025, at Nyayo National Stadium, a half marathon will be held alongside a medical camp targeting adolescents and young people—expanding access to testing, treatment, prevention, and accurate health information.
Today, the Cabinet Secretary for Health Hon Aden Duale called on all Kenyans to participate in large numbers, supporting an event that rallies the nation in the fight against HIV/AIDS while promoting community wellness and awareness. This year’s focus highlights inclusive, youth-centred services and sustained investment in HIV prevention, treatment, and care.
The event will also showcase progress made through strengthened partnerships with counties, civil society, and development partners—particularly in scaling up pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), eliminating mother-to-child transmission, and improving ART access for young people.
“World AIDS Day 2025 reminds us that ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030 requires collective effort, compassion, and a commitment to leaving no one behind,” CS noted.
